I am long slow haiku,
it forms my mouth,
shapes my teeth and tongue as it tastes itself,
poems anoint my eyes with your beautiful reflection,
spinning a world of utter amazement that dissolves as it appears,
and that is the magic of this poem,
that it is not lacking,
and has no other words to sing...
I am a waterfall of words tripling lightly through these fingertips splashing the music of I am onto the page...
dancing a song of you and me into a ballet of astonishment
a waltz of tears
streaming the music
we all know but cannot fathom
there is no escaping the symphony that plays us
I cannot hear my own voice
without yours
I am your echo
I have no shoes without your feet...
no heart without your love
no tears without your eyes
lost and found in the meandering without an anchor or shore to reach,
bathed in the warmth of your waters,
this is love without time or timelessness...
the breath
softly...
words dissolving into love letters strewn haphazardly across the night sky,
stars burning in their own light
~~~~~
I am the ache of spring and the petals
falling
words kiss my mouth into this love song
twirl me into this lover's dance...
dissolving into the poem I never left
Bringing warmth on a cold winter morning
"dancing a song of you and me into a ballet of astonishment"
yes, as you have have always... as my African friend says, a true poem "dreams the world into being."
